Timely CD release from 16 fave Phil "Fang" Volk!
Last week, we were excited to receive an advance copy of the first single from our friend Fang's upcoming CD. As the original bassist for Paul Revere and the Raiders, Fang has long been a part of rock and roll history, and over the years has continued to write, produce and play the music he loves. Here his inspiration comes from one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Bob Dylan. He reinvents Dylan's anthem for change and gives it new urgency. Calling it "a song for a world in turmoil," Fang coincidentally released it to radio yesterday, just hours before President Obama's surprise announcement that the U.S. had conducted an operation that had rid the world of Osama bin Laden.
The single will be available tomorrow on Fang's website (see link under "Faves at Home").
