"My favorite single release to date is Melody To An Unknown Girl by the UNKNOWNS on London Records (it is the same number Mark Lindsay wrote, and speaks and plays sax on, for the Raiders' Midnight Ride LP). The voices on the single London release of Melody are hauntingly beautiful. Try it .... Epic has signed a cute little new blonde named Patty Michaels. Her first single is Something Happens .... Tower has signed a cute little not-so-new blonde named Mae West, and her rock and roll LP called Way Out West (accompanied by Somebody's Children) is an absolute must. I mean, it really grooves .... Speaking of blondes, Bob Dylan's new Columbia LP is a double volume one called Blonde On Blonde, but don't let that throw you off. It has more colors than your eyes can see and none of them are pale -- so go on and listen to the colors .... Other GeeGee recommended LPs this issue include The Best of Peter & Gordon, More Of Chad & Jeremy and The Best Of The Beach Boys -- all on Capitol; Little Girl by the Syndicate Of Sound on Bell Records; the Shondells' Hanky Panky on Roulette; the Mindbenders' A Groovy Kind of Love on Fontana; Jan & Dean's Popsicle on Liberty; Del Shannon's This Is My Bag on Liberty; and Brenda Lee's Golden Years on Decca."
