"GeeGee recommended LPs this month are Steve Alaimo's Where The Action Is on ABC Paramount; Brenda Lee's Too Many Rivers on Decca; The Drifters' I'll Take You Where The Music's Playing on Atlantic; P.F. Sloan's Songs Of Our Times on Dunhill; Swingle Singers' Getting Romantic on Mercury; Shangri-Las '65 on Red Bird; Sonny & Cher & Friends' Baby Don't Go on Reprise; jazz goodies include Brazilian Byrd with Charlie Byrd on Columbia and Paul Desmond's Glad To Be Unhappy on RCA-Victor; soul people should tune in Verve's The Roots of Lightnin' Hopkins; and for those who are really ahead of the times, dig the magnificent Eastern Indian music of Ravi Shankar's Portrait Of Genius on World Pacific Records ... My tippy-top favorite in the LP dept. this outing is Joan Baez' beautiful Vanguard LP, Farewell Angelina. Joan is bringing that wonderful Donovan to Carnegie Hall to appear with her soon. That should be a double-delight."
